Hotel Preservation Commission Hearing Held in Prescott

Mar 11, 2022

The proposed new hotel did not comply with Prescott’s Preservation Codes, since it substantially exceeded height restrictions and the materials designated for the exterior of the building also failed to meet the legal requirements for that location.

This emotional meeting was attended by more than 200 true Prescott loving residents who stood in unanimous solidarity against this project being approved. Steve Zipperman, candidate for the local Arizona State Senate seat (LD-1), was in attendance and he spoke out against this project. Interestingly, neither of the other candidates for the same Senate seat believed that this event was significant enough for them to be present at this hearing. So much for their love of Prescott and its heritage.
